Responsive Database Design

Cloud Nine Publishing database design for network, intranet or web sites, provides the most current responsive database technology so whatever the viewing platform, desktop, iPad, tablet or smartphone, data will perform fully functionable through all devices.

SQL Database is a relational database service in the cloud based on the market-leading Microsoft SQL Server engine and capable of handling mission-critical workloads. SQL Database delivers predictable performance at multiple service levels, dynamic scalability with no downtime, built-in business continuity, and data protection.

These capabilities allow focus on rapid app development and accelerating time to market, rather than allocating precious time and resources to managing virtual machines and infrastructure.

Because SQL Database is based on the SQL Server engine, SQL Database supports existing SQL Server tools, libraries, and APIs. As a result, it is relatively easy to develop new solutions, to move existing SQL Server solutions and to extend existing SQL Server solutions to the cloud.

For many businesses and apps, being able to create single databases and dial performance up or down on demand is enough, especially if usage patterns are relatively predictable. But if you have unpredictable usage patterns, it can put a lot of stress and bottle necking on the single database.

Elastic pools are designed to solve this problem. The concept is simple. You allocate performance resources to a pool rather than an individual database. The pooled databases consume the performance resources of the elastic pool as needed. Pooled databases consume but don’t exceed the limits of the pool.

SQL databases are a workhorse and can be used for the simplest of things like forms, classified scripts, directories, events up to full blown data systems.

Cloud Nine Publishing uses SQL as our back end with a number of responsive tools to provide the best interface for your particular needs. Contact us for more information.
